Working For Us

Inter-County provides an extensive range of healthcare staff to many different services:

  • Nursing & Care Homes
  • NHS Hospitals
  • Private Homecare
  • People with Learning Difficulties

Care and support at home.Inter-County has a reputation in the healthcare sector for providing a high quality service and consistently maintaining high standards. We realise that this hard-earned reputation is dependent on the level of service we supply to our clients. To maintain this level of service we employ nurses and carers who are reliable, committed to high standards of care, conscientious and who can work under pressure.

We run an on-going recruitment programme for domiciliary carers, healthcare assistants, auxiliary and qualified nurses. If you have experience, enjoy working flexible hours and would like to work for an agency that maintains high standards of care, we would like to hear from you.

Besides having a caring nature, you will need to be a good listener, like working with people, have good common sense and want to make a difference to someone's life. It's having the right attitude that counts.

For nurses and carers the benefits of working for Inter-County are:

  • Flexible hours, as many or as few as you choose
  • Excellent rates of pay, including mileage, paid weekly
  • Holiday pay and a stakeholder pension scheme
  • Training opportunities and on-going supervision
  • Professional and friendly, 24-hour office support
  • Being part of a team in a personalised business

Are you thinking about becoming a carer but don't have experience?

Being a good carer is not all about qualifications. If you have not worked in the care sector but have had experience of caring for someone, maybe an elderly relative, or a sick partner, and would like to be become a professional carer, please call us.

You will need to have excellent common sense and an ability to listen. Having a caring nature is essential, and being sensitive to the needs of the elderly or those needing your support is vital. You will be meeting new people, very often working on your own, and sometimes have to deal with emotionally difficult situations. Last but not least, you will need to have a good sense of humour!

Whatever your age (some of our carers are in their 70's), if you want to make a difference to someone's life and offer companionship and support to an elderly person, then call your local regional office or fill in the contact enquiry form.
